Share www.merseydrugtraining.com I am a training provider based in Liverpool, Merseyside and specialise in delivering drug awareness sessions. These sessions can be basic or advanced and I am able to cover a broad range of topics, depending on your needs / wishes. These topics can include street drugs, prescription / over - the - counter drugs, "legal highs" and alcohol, in addition to more indirect topics e.g. blood - borne viruses, drug - related crime etc.
I endeavour to make all of these presentations relaxed but structured and participants' questions are welcomed.
Substance use / misuse / abuse impacts on a broad spectrum of society - individuals, families, authorities, businesses - but available data regarding drugs is often flawed, conflicting, poor quality and/or ridden with myths. In addition, the drug scene is constantly in flux - even high - quality information becomes dated quickly. However, as I am currently employed as a substance misuse worker, I am constantly being made aware of new developments. These are incorporated into my training sessions.
High-quality drug education is a must for all of the above.
Should a participant field a query that I find I am unable to answer directly, I aim to get back to them as a matter of urgency with the required information.
I have delivered drug awareness training sessions and presentations to police recruits, DWP staff, community parents and occupational health nurses, in addition to a variety of other professionals / community groups
